Delete your account
You can delete your personal mtrz account. That is not the same as deleting a group.
In the app
- Open mtrz and sign in.
- Navigate to Account, then Advanced.
- Choose Delete account and confirm.
What gets deleted
Your account, profile, and membership. You will not be able to sign in. The group stays. Only a group admin can ask us to delete a group.
Group calendars and events stay with the group, including a Google Calendar a group admin already linked. An admin can remove a link or delete events in the app.
What stays with the group
Once you send a message or media, it belongs to the group. Deleting your account does not remove it. In the app you can delete individual messages or media, one item at a time. There is no way to delete all of your posted content at once. Group retention rules still apply.
Free groups keep album-saved memories and the newest 30 non-album group messages. Premium groups keep their full group history. A group is deleted only if an admin asks us to delete it, or if a Free group is inactive for 30 days.
If you can’t open the app
Write to us on Support and ask us to delete your mtrz account. Say the email or username you used to sign in. We will delete the account as described above.
If you pay for Premium or storage for a group, deleting your mtrz account removes those paid features from the group but does not stop paid-plan charges. Cancel each subscription separately in your Apple ID or Google Play subscription settings.
